Our small business web design process is intentionally simple, organized, and stress-free. From reserving your design week to launching your new website, we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Complete our project inquiry form to tell us a little about your business, website needs, and goals. We’ll follow up with everything you need to officially book your project and reserve your dedicated Design Week.
Once your week is reserved, we’ll recommend the best website template foundation for your project and send everything you need to start preparing your content.
With your template selected, you’ll use its page structure and guided prompts to prepare your website copy and gather everything we’ll need to bring your site to life.
You’ll receive a brand questionnaire and access to your private client folder where you can upload your website copy, brand assets, images, and other requested materials.
Most clients spend 1–2 weeks preparing everything, and we’ll be here to guide you along the way.
Please note: To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience, all website copy, brand assets, and images must be submitted at least one week before your scheduled Design Week.
The week before your Design Week begins, we’ll meet to review your content, talk through your vision and goals, and make sure we’re aligned on the direction for your website.
During your dedicated Design Week, we’ll bring everything together into a polished, strategic website tailored to your business while handling the responsive design, technical setup, and finishing touches behind the scenes.
You’ll review your completed website and have one round of minor revisions. Once everything is approved, we’ll take care of the final launch details and get your new website live.

We begin with one of our professionally designed Showit templates and tailor the design, layouts, styling, content, and branding to your business.
No. Your selected Valene Ashia website template is included with the service, so you don’t need to purchase it separately.
Before your scheduled design week, you’ll need to provide your finalized website copy, logo, brand colors, fonts (if applicable), images, and any other requested materials. To keep your project on schedule, all assets must be submitted at least one week before your scheduled start date.
Don’t have a complete brand identity yet?
No problem! If you don’t have a logo, color palette, or font selections yet, you’re welcome to use the professionally curated branding included with your chosen website template. We’ll just need your website copy and images to complete your project.
Quite a bit! While your website begins with one of our strategically designed templates as its foundation, semi-custom design gives us the flexibility to thoughtfully adjust layouts, styling, sections, and other design elements to better fit your content, branding, and business goals.
Because this is a semi-custom service, we won’t redesign the entire template from scratch or create completely custom page layouts. If your project requires that level of customization, this service may not be the right fit.
This experience includes semi-custom design of up to six pages. If your project requires additional pages or functionality, we’ll be happy to discuss available add-ons before your Design Week begins.

Most of your time will be spent preparing beforehand. You’ll have 1–2 weeks to finalize your website copy and gather your branding, images, and other project materials using the template structure and guided prompts we provide.
The week before your Design Week, we’ll meet for a 30-minute Website Strategy Call to review everything you’ve submitted, talk through your vision and goals, and make sure we’re aligned before design begins.
Once your Design Week starts, you can step back and let us do the heavy lifting. You’ll simply need to set aside a little time to review your website and provide feedback during your revision period.
Semi-custom web design gives you the strategy and expertise of professional web design without starting entirely from scratch. We use one of our professionally designed Showit templates as the foundation, then tailor the design to your branding, content, and business goals.
A fully custom website begins with a blank canvas and typically involves a longer timeline, larger scope, and higher investment. Our semi-custom approach allows us to create a polished, personalized website through a much more streamlined process.
We exclusively design our semi-custom websites on Showit. It’s a powerful, user-friendly website platform that gives us the creative flexibility to build a beautiful, strategic website while making it easy for you to update your content after launch.
Because Showit is subscription-based, you’ll need a paid Showit hosting plan. Plans currently start at $27–$49/month, depending on the features you need. Your subscription includes both website hosting and access to the Showit builder, so you won’t need to purchase separate website hosting.
Copywriting is not included with this service. If you need additional support, our website templates include guided copy prompts to help you write your content.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your Design Week, with the remaining balance due one week before your scheduled start date. This allows us to reserve dedicated time for your project and keep the process simple and streamlined.
Because your Design Week is reserved specifically for you and we begin preparing for your project before the design work starts, all payments are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your Design Week, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you based on availability.
Absolutely! Your website is built on Showit, making it easy to update your text, images, and other content without needing to know how to code. You’ll have full ownership of your website and the flexibility to make changes as your business grows.
Absolutely! We want you to feel confident managing your new website long after launch.
